Application Support FAQ
Where can I get information / help using Blackboard for my course?
If you require assistance with your Faculty of Medicine course on Blackboard, your first point of support is discovery.commons@utoronto.ca. Please be sure to include the Course ID, your UTORid, and your contact information in your email. If you are looking for an online resource of help documentation, the University has a central blackboard resource here: http://www.portalinfo.utoronto.ca/. If you would like to attend a Blackboard training session, CTSI offers training sessions covering everything from introductory to advanced topics. You can see their schedule of upcoming training sessions online here: http://www.teaching.utoronto.ca/about_ctsi/servicesexpertise/bb-training-support.htm.
How can I reset my UTORid/WebCV password? And, if I need my password reset, is it done so automatically or manually?
The Discovery Commons Service Desk does not have the ability to reset passwords, make account information changes, or update account status. If you require assistance for any of these issues, please contact the Information Commons, located on the first floor of Robarts Library. You may walk up for service (please bring photo ID for account changes) or telephone for assistance (416 978 HELP). You can visit their website to verify operating hours. For other information, see our UTORid support page.
Is the WebCV helpdesk same as Discovery Commons Service Desk?
No, they are separate. Contact the WebCV help desk at 416.946.3289.
