Lecture and Seminar Capture
Discovery Commons can assist in recording a presentation from any of the teaching stations in the Medical Sciences Building, as well as directly from a client’s lap-top. The software used will be Camtasia Relay; this is installed on the campus teaching stations and can also be installed on a laptop or run from a USB stick.
The content of the presentation, such as PowerPoint, is recorded along with the presenter’s voice. There is no camera used; therefore, there will be no image of the presenter in the finished product. If the presentation takes place in the MSB during regular hours, the technician will set-up the equipment for the recording and usually not remain for the presentation. Once the lecture is captured, it will be published as a Flash file and hosted and posted as per the client's requests.
