Microsoft Exchange

The Microsoft Exchange Service was developed by Discovery Commons as a high-capacity email system for administrative staff at the Faculty of Medicine.  The system provides users with the following benefits:

  • Fast, secure email with powerful anti-virus and spam protection
  • Web based system access
  • Shared password protected calendaring and task management
  • Secure network file storage for individuals and departments
  • Global and local address book
  • Mobile device compatible
  • No change to email address ( your.name@utoronto.ca)

Discovery Commons provides support to over 600 Microsoft Exchange users. Our team is available to assist with the following areas:

  • New account creation
  • Account problems, including security issues
  • Support for mobile devices such as Blackberry
  • Support for web-based access to information
  • Support for individual and departmental file storage

Full, regular support is available during office hours 8-5pm, Monday – Friday, with emergency support (for outages and security issues) during the evenings and weekends.
