Multi-Purpose Room Booking

Service Description

The Discovery Commons has a variety of spaces that are available to staff and faculty members to use as multi-purpose rooms. The multi-purpose rooms are equipped with a computer, projector, and internet access for presentations. The following rooms are available for booking:

  • MSB 3173 (20 seats)
  • MSB 3287 (40 seats)

Advance booking is required to use these facilities. Please note that we reserve the right to assign priority to certain programs or types of use, and also the right to re-assign rooms at any time. If we do need to re-assign a room, we will provide as much advance notice as possible, and will make every effort to re-locate your booking in an acceptable alternate location (though we cannot guarantee this). Multi-purpose rooms can be booked for weekday usage between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm. Please ask us about after-hours arrangements.

For photos of the rooms, and details regarding what audio-visual equipment is available in them, please see the link below. Whiteboard and blackboard supplies are available from the service desk for use during the event. Please return them after the event.

Service Charges

Yes

No charge for Faculty of Medicine Staff, Students and Faculty for space and equipment usage. Charges will apply if reserved by non-Faculty of Medicine UofT offices or departments, or if Discovery Commons support staff is required outside of normal business hours.

Pricing

  • No charge for Faculty of Medicine Staff, Students and Faculty for multi-purpose room usage. 
  • Multi-Purpose Room booking for non-Faculty of Medicine clients is $100/room/hour. A quotation will be provided in the form of a Letter of Understanding (LOU)
