Microsoft Defender for Office 365

The University has launched Microsoft Defender for Office 365. This cloud-based service safeguards against malicious threats, malware and viruses. Many of these threats are found in links and attachments in your email messages.   Microsoft Defender will scan all emails links and attachments before they get into your Inbox. If the link or attachment is determined to be safe, you will not see any difference in your email message. If the link or attachment is determined to be malicious or a potential threat, it will not be included in your message.  Instead, you may see one of the following Safe Link warning messages:
